The Thought Behind It

Denim was given the treatment usually reserved for trousers. A crease was pressed in. Pockets were shut. The result reads as tailoring in the wrong cloth.

Pure cotton, no stretch. It takes the crease and holds it, softening only where the leg bends.

A single line runs down the front and back of each leg. It is what separates these from ordinary shorts.

Closed at the back, welted at the side. Nothing gapes and nothing is visible from outside.

Branded Button

A metal shank closes the waist, struck with the Oretto mark. The finish darkens with wear.

Deep Hem

Three centimetres, turned and pressed. It gives the leg opening enough weight to hang straight.

Craft

Cut, creased, set.

Panels are assembled before the crease is pressed in, so the line runs true from waistband to hem. Pocket bags are cotton, cut and finished inside.
