A round top, 160 centimetres across, carried on rows of turned spheres. Beneath them, a metal cone left to oxidize on its own. Two materials, two temperaments, one table.

Each sphere is turned individually, then set by hand into its band. The base is oxidized in the workshop and left to develop until its surface settles on its own.

A single row circles the tabletop edge. Three more stack beneath it, turned and set by hand.

Verdigris Base

Verdigris Base

Green over copper over shadow. The oxidation is grown on the metal, never painted or repeated.

Walnut Top

Walnut Top

Solid, dark, and quietly grained. Three centimetres thick, oiled to handle daily use for decades.

Tapered Cone

Tapered Cone

The base narrows as it rises, from 62cm at the floor to 48. Weight low, sightlines open.

Frame Profile

Frame Profile

A 3cm top over a 6.5cm beaded frame. Kept tight so the base carries the eye.
